During your visit to the Palace of Fine Arts, you are invited to play a scavenger hunt game, called the Palace Hunt. This 60 to 90 minute activity is a fun way to pass the time before or after you play the Houdini Room or the Roosevelt Room. This is a puzzle hunt that will take your group around the beautiful lagoon at the Palace of Fine Arts.
We recommend teams of 4 to 6 people, but teams of any size can play. Teams can compete with each other, but they will follow the same path, so consider staggering start times. The hunt is powered by a mobile app called ClueKeeper. The ClueKeeper app is free, but it will cost $9.99 per team to download the hunt. (Only ONE person per team needs to download the ClueKeeper app and Palace Hunt.)
How to Play
NOTE: Steps 1 – 3 can be done at any time before you play.
Step 1: Download the FREE ClueKeeper app for iPhone or Android (through the app store or via http://www.cluekeeper.com/).
Step 2: Launch the ClueKeeper app (you will create a free ClueKeeper account in the process.)
Step 3: Press the FIND HUNTS button, and select the Palace Hunt, by Palace Games. This will be an in-app purchase of $9.99, and when completed the Palace Hunt will download to your ClueKeeper app.
Step 4: Launch the Palace Hunt from within the ClueKeeper app.
Step 5: The ClueKeeper app will guide you from here. It will tell you where to go, give you puzzles, provide hints, and accept answers. Once you have provided the correct answer, you will get instructions on where to go for the next puzzle. Note: hints become available over time, and you will be able to skip puzzles if you must.
Step 6: Play, solve, and have fun!
Please note: You do not need to sign up for this game in advance. This game is to be played at the team’s convenience and does not need to be facilitated by Palace Games’ staff.
